Concrete Lung - Waste of Flesh EP
A very impressive and assured debut, nodding to the past as much as it is attempting to remind people that industrial (or "death industrial", as they put it) is very much of the now, too. And with material with this much power, it may be that they drag the genre into the present whether it likes it or not. More

In short this is exactly the range of sonic illusions, textures and associated perceptions that many "dark ambient" producers aspire to but don't reach. It may or not may not be a mapping of internal psychological states but the result is a work that is half-familiar and half-uncanny, a masterful and seductive dislocation.
