What is the first thing that comes to mind when I listen to Caustic? Songs that seep with sarcasm, smell of week old beer, and have a general ‘fuck you’ mentality. This latest offering from Caustic’s mastermind, Matt Fanale is no exception to any of those preconceived notions.

Dicepeople - Time To Play
The one area of fault with "Time To Play" is that it comes off shallow or two-dimensional - it lacks depth on the majority of the songs (the one exception being the above mentioned "Ghost"). That aside, "Time to Play" is a release deserving of a serious listen that will cater to fans of IDM, psytrance and techno.

|**| (Gate) - No Exit
"No Exit" is the first release by Tokyo-based Lajos Ishibashi-Brons' noise/jazz improv project "|**|" (pronounced "Gate").Although the range this album spans is refreshing, it also feels a little all over the place and less like an album than a collection of studio jams. Nevertheless this is an interesting first album and shows promise for future releases.

In the end, the collection of these 3 artists is a sonic assault on the listener’s senses, though not everyone’s cup of tea. For fans of experimental noise, post-breakcore/rhythmic noise.
